You've probably heard that goldfish have only a 3-second memory—but that's a total myth! Studies have shown that goldfish can remember things for weeks, or even months. They're capable of learning tricks, navigating mazes, and even recognizing their owners.
In scientific experiments, goldfish have been trained to press levers for food and can recall these tasks long after initial training. Their memory span helps them survive in the wild by remembering locations of food sources and potential dangers. So next time you glance at a goldfish, remember: there’s a lot more going on behind those glassy eyes than you think!
